I strongly advise against doing business with World of Windows. A few years ago, they installed a couple of doors for me without pulling any permits. They also left the trim work incomplete and all the inspection holes open. Since no permit was pulled, there was no inspection, and I had to fix everything myself.

Unfortunately, I made the mistake of going back to them for a third exterior door. This time, they pulled a permit but left the exterior unfinished, exposed to the elements. When I asked about it, they told me it was my responsibility to finish it—or I could pay extra to have someone come out and stucco it.

The new door arrived scratched on both sides with a black smudge. They originally scheduled the installation for February 7th, but no one showed up. When I called at 9:30 AM, the scheduler, Windy, assured me they were coming. Then at 12:30 PM, she called back to say they were too busy and needed to reschedule—two weeks out! When I asked for the next day, she refused, saying it would inconvenience others.

The salesman was terrible—he had no knowledge of the product and never followed up on anything. Now that the inspection has passed, they want an additional $393. Instead of simply mailing me a bill, they insisted on emailing it and claimed it was too time-consuming to find my email on file. When I asked them to mail it, Windy, once again, responded with her usual negative attitude.

As a state Class A HVAC contractor, I know how customers should be treated—and World of Windows has no clue. Stay away. Call the cookie guy instead.

My experience with World of Windows has been nothing short of perfection! From the quality service (Thanks Bob!), to the thorough and friendly communication, to the gorgeous double front doors, I couldn’t be happier. The installation was completed with expertise and care. I really appreciated their attention to detail. I’m thankful to be entering hurricane season with strong, impact rated doors. I can’t stop looking at my front doors—they are beautiful! I’ll definitely be back for future window needs. Highly recommend!

We decided to go with this company to upgrade our doors and windows to get a better quote on homeowners insurance and lower our utility expense. It was the best decision we made. We achieved both. We found out quickly, replacing windows and doors isn't cheap, but after shopping around and getting estimates from other companies, they were reasonably priced. They offer several manufacturers, we decided to go with PGT, since they are manufactured in Sarasota and they understand our climate and storm season. Top service from start to finish. The owner came out to do the final measurements. He stated it was the most important part of getting the install right. There are lots of companies selling doors and windows, but if want a company that stand by the products they install and friendly service, I recommend World of Windows.

I had a very unfortunate run in with one of their employees two nights ago. I was standing in my driveway talking to a friend when my neighbors kids pulled in, extremely panicked. Pointing behind them. When I looked up here comes this man in a World of windows truck, right behind them. My neighbor (a teen girl)yelled, “he’s chasing us” so I went over and in between the vehicles which was about one car length apart. I said “heyyy!!!! What’s going on here!” To which Jason, the driver replied “they cut me off” as I got closer to the truck I saw that Jason had a hammer in his hand behind the door, ready to go. So I stopped. “I said hey, I don’t know what happened, but no matter what you do from this point, if you get out of the truck with that hammer it is not going to go well for you. They are children. You need to go!” He started to yell and then laugh some incredibly insane laugh and picked up the hammer so the kids knew he had it. I repeated myself and promised I would handle the kids but please leave. I said “whatever they did was not okay, but this won’t just ruin your day, you need to go before you make a huge mistake!” He started to slowly pull away, laughing his crazy loud laugh all the way out of the neighborhood. As soon as he pulled away my neighbors kids burst into tears. I have never seen her cry in the 8 years I’ve known her. I’ll be honest, hindsight and all, while I’m glad I was there that could have gone very differently and he really could have hurt someone. For the record, multiple people saw this man stop, get out of his vehicle and get the hammer from his tool box. This wasn’t something he grabbed next to him out of fear or concern. He was intentional and scary. The manager is aware and immediately knew who he was. There is zero chance I’d hire this company and let this man into my house.

Exceptional service! The team over at World of Windows made everything easy. Great communication regarding pricing, timeframe, and the work involved. The team was quick and efficient on install day. My front doors have never looked or felt better! Sturdy, well made, well installed.
