Kendale Lakes is a large, unincorporated Miami-Dade suburb west of Kendall proper, developed mainly in the 1970s and 1980s with single-family neighborhoods and a scattering of garden-style apartment and condo communities along SW 137th, SW 142nd and SW 88th corridors. Newer, amenity-rich mid-rise construction has begun filling in closer to SW 137th Avenue.
