Feather Sound is a small, upscale unincorporated community wrapped around Feather Sound Country Club and Old Tampa Bay, just south of St. Pete-Clearwater International Airport. Most housing here is owner-occupied condos and single-family homes, so purpose-built rental apartment complexes are scarce inside the CDP's own boundary — most "Feather Sound" listings on aggregator sites are actually in neighboring Clearwater or unincorporated Largo.

As of mid-2026, the handful of rentable units that genuinely sit inside Feather Sound are individually-owned condo conversions (Pelican Landing/Chateau Bayonne buildings) rather than large corporate apartment communities, so rents run higher per square foot and availability is inconsistent.
