Absolutely recommend American Shutter Works. This morning they installed Hurricane rated shutters on my deck known as a Cool Deck. Previously we had to install individual shutters which was a real pain staking task for hurricane preparation..not any more. Tim Jenkins quoted us the install and materials and based on the recommendations from others we moved forward. Andrew and Nick, the installers, were beyond what I expected. Professional, knowledgeable and precise is the only way to describe their workmanship. I am more than pleased with the outcome. Fabulous job done by this company and the shutters added an aesthetic functionality and ease to my life and home. Thank you again and continued success.

OUTSTANDING installation and post-installation service of our Armor Screen roll down hurricane screen. We must have driven Tim nuts with all our service calls over the years but he always calls or shows up the next day, polite as can be, and addresses all our concerns. HIGHLY recommend this company.

We just had American shutterworks install the rest of our hurricane shutters. We had them do a few about 15 years ago but after using wood and clips for years, we finally got it finished the right way. Andy and Nick did a fantastic job. I chose accordion shutters for the front porch as they are easy to open and close and on the back of the house porch are the panels. There was no high pressure sales and he gave me a fair price with a written contract. Don't wait till the hurricane is upon you. Edit: When I went to put up my shutters during the hurricane last season, I was missing some and the hurricane was upon us and was coming "right up to our door" within a day or so. I contacted American Shutter Works via text and said I would put up wood for the storm, but I would need some more afterward. Well, to my surprise, he dropped off the needed shutters and saved the day. A really honest caring company that does a super professional job at reasonable prices. The company has been around for 20+ years and the last time I had some more shutters put on, as I did partial decades ago, a great crew arrived and did a super job! Tim Jenkins and his outstanding crew just put accordion shutters on my home. I am so pleased with the work they did. The ascetics of the home were not compromised, you can't even tell they are there when the shutters are open. Also they look good closed. American Shutter Works did an excellent job on my house and my neighbor's next door. After a couple of years, we were preparing for a recent storm and realized that a couple of our locks weren't working. He came out about an hour after we called him and fixed the locks. Evidently we forgot that the locks were supposed to remain locked even when not in use or bugs could get inside. He had them all back up and operational in just a few minutes. Service after the installation. A great company!! You can't go wrong with them.
