South Venice is a large, mostly residential unincorporated community in Sarasota County sandwiched between the city of Venice and Englewood, made up largely of single-family canal-front lots platted decades ago. Multifamily rental stock is limited compared to neighboring incorporated cities, with what does exist concentrated along the Tamiami Trail commercial corridor.
As of mid-2026, South Venice has very few dedicated apartment complexes; renters looking for more traditional multifamily inventory typically have to look toward Venice proper, Woodmere, or North Port.
