What residents like

  • Sits directly on the Heathrow Golf Course with lake and green-space views from many units
  • Gated entry plus on-site property manager and maintenance give it a secure, well-kept feel
  • Wide amenity set for the price point — resort-style pool, 24-hour fitness center, tennis and basketball courts, and a dog park
  • Walking distance to a Seminole State College satellite campus and close to Heathrow's office parks, cutting commute times for many residents

Common complaints

  • Zip code technically reads Lake Mary in some listings even though the property sits inside Heathrow, which can confuse address lookups
  • Limited walkability and transit access — a car is effectively required
  • Covered/garage parking carries an added monthly fee on top of rent
  • Being a large 312-unit community, it can feel less personal than a smaller boutique complex

Our take

MAA Heathrow is the one true large-scale apartment community sitting inside the Heathrow CDP itself, built in 1997 on the grounds of the Heathrow Golf Course. It offers one-, two-, and three-bedroom floor plans with a full suburban amenity package — pool, fitness center, tennis/basketball courts, and a gated, landscaped setting — aimed at professionals working in Heathrow's corporate office parks.

About these pros & cons How we build these pages: we read publicly available resident reviews (Google, ApartmentRatings, Yelp, Reddit and similar) for each community and summarize the recurring themes in our own words. We don't copy review text, we don't display star ratings we didn't compute, and no complex has paid to appear or to have anything removed. Cons reflect what residents report — experiences vary. Rent ranges come from public listings and change often; always confirm current pricing, fees and policies with the property directly.
