What residents like

  • Panoramic views of both the Atlantic Ocean and the Intracoastal Waterway thanks to its position and floor-to-ceiling windows
  • Newer than most competing oceanfront towers on this stretch (1989 vs. many neighbors from the 1970s), which shows in finish quality like stainless appliances
  • Full-service amenities — pool, spa, and fitness center — plus 24-hour building access for added security
  • Larger, higher-end units (up to 1,826 sq ft) than typical for the immediate area

Common complaints

  • Priced well above most nearby towers, with available units starting near $3,800/mo and running near $4,800
  • Very limited rental inventory at any given time (often just one or two units), making it harder to find availability when you want it
  • As with other owner-managed condo towers here, amenities and interior updates can vary by which specific unit and owner you rent from

Our take

The Ashley is a 19-story, 127-unit oceanfront condo tower built in 1989, newer and more amenity-rich than many of its South Atlantic Avenue neighbors, with a pool, spa, fitness center, and 24-hour access. It commands some of the highest rents on the strip, and availability is typically limited to just a unit or two at a time.

About these pros & cons How we build these pages: we read publicly available resident reviews (Google, ApartmentRatings, Yelp, Reddit and similar) for each community and summarize the recurring themes in our own words. We don't copy review text, we don't display star ratings we didn't compute, and no complex has paid to appear or to have anything removed. Cons reflect what residents report — experiences vary. Rent ranges come from public listings and change often; always confirm current pricing, fees and policies with the property directly.
