Rooms To Go

I’m sharing my experience in hopes of getting guidance or resolution.

About 20 months ago I purchased a 100% leather sofa from Rooms To Go and also purchased the recommended protection/warranty coverage through Fortegra. Recently the leather in one area of the sofa faded and became noticeably discolored under normal household use.

Because leather furniture is expected to last for many years, I contacted Rooms To Go and the warranty provider to ask about repair or replacement. Unfortunately, both indicated the issue was not covered and declined to address it.

Since I still have about $600 remaining on the Synchrony financing for the furniture, I also contacted Synchrony Bank and opened a dispute explaining that the product appears to have deteriorated prematurely.

I’m disappointed because I expected a leather sofa to maintain its appearance much longer than just over a year, especially with a protection plan in place. I’ve attached photos of the discoloration so others can see the issue.

If anyone from Rooms To Go or Fortegra is willing to review the situation again, I would appreciate it. I’m simply hoping for a fair resolution such as repair, restoration, or another reasonable solution.

He made the process easy and enjoyable. I was so impressed with his service that I came back the very next day with my parents, and he helped me choose the perfect couch for my apartment and also helped my parents find one for their home. Highly recommend asking for Johan if you go in!
