We had problems with the pool filter not being cleaned in the past. Our regular guy stopped coming and a new guy came and said it was disgusting and hadn’t been cleaned in months. I will say that the owner always responded fairly quickly whenever we had small issues and he would make it right. It’s been over four years with their service, and we are understanding and very laid back (which is why we kept them after so many little issues) but I decided to end my service with them because my pool basically looked awful and all the other things just adding up, I had enough. It was always something. And granted they would usually get fixed and when we called- enough was enough. I don’t want to pay someone to care for my pool and have to constantly check that they did it right. I pulled my filter out today, 2 weeks after ending our service with them (it was suppose to be cleaned every month) and I’m no expert, but this hasn’t been cleaned in a long time… even though you shouldn’t have to do this, you should double check that they’re actually cleaning the filter and doing what they said they’re going to do so that you don’t end up with an expensive issue due to poor pool care in the long run. Hope they step it up because he’s a nice guy but people should get what they pay for and we pay for these services so we do t have to worry about it- not so we can back track every week to see if everything is done right. It’s a small thing but having a pool service was my one luxury that I did not want to have to do myself with a busy schedule but now I am hesitant on trusting anyone.

Port Orange Pools is great. We have had them service our pool for just over a year. We are very happy with the service to date.

Update, after about 3 months from my above review our pool tech changed. Service went downhill. Calls to the office didn’t result in it getting any better. We eventually discontinued our service with them. They may be better now.

Unfortunately, we ended our service agreement because the level of work and effective communication dwindled over time. When I needed to reach out because maintenance points were missed, it was taken as me/the client being problematic rather than the owner seeing that the level of service from the new team was diminishing. Upon ending the service relationship, the owner affirmed my most recent experiences and cursed at me via text.

I have had Paul and his company for about 2 years now and they have been fabulous, punctual, great communication and great service. I know nothing about pools and Paul the owner is always very prompt with returning calls and walking me through my questions. For example when I needed to drain my pool down before storms, or trouble shoot when my pump wasn’t working. He is competitively priced and also gives options to help save money with upgrades when needed. I have called during off hours and he has even been responsive. I had a demo project recently which made excessive mess to my pool and he never charged me extra nor did his technicians ever complain. I would highly recommend!

Was the pool service of my father for 4+ years, when I moved into the house noticed the pool wasn’t being cleaned properly. I then decided to higher a different pool guy, after a couple different folks telling me that my pool was more chemical than water, I took the sample to Leslie and indeed was true. I requested Paul (owner) to simply come and fix the mistake that his employees had made, but to kept pushing the easy button for him not to fix it & telling me to buy my own equipment to empty the pool. After calling and trying to fix the issue he simply blocked my number so he wouldn’t have to deal with the issue. Highly recommend if you use this service check your pools chemicals. Because this company is a pool killer.
