Marathon

I’m surprised at the service received from the attendant. I know it’s a convenient store, but it’s rare when you find one where people actually help you find what you’re looking for. It is usually a case of walking around and finding it but when I asked the attendant had no issue helping me find my items for purchase. Also it was clean inside and outside the store which is another thing that is a rare thing.

Fuelled the car, no issues. 5 STARS .

Good people. Great service. Eat here! They have a great kitchen called Zelda’s Cafe. It’s the bomb.

I detest most gas stations that aren't a Wawa and no I didn't grow up in Jersey. With that being said, this is consistently among the worst gas stations I've ever been to. Every time, 1-3 pumps are taped off because they're broken. The credit card readers almost always take multiple attempts or don't work at all. Some of the pumps are outrageously slow. The little locking mechanism that allows the gas to pump itself is broken on almost every single pump and has been for years. And on numerous occasions, it'll say my tank is full but it's not. Today, it claimed it was full but it was only at 3/4. A couple other times it stopped at 50%.

I've never gone inside admittedly. Quite frankly, I'm too afraid to go inside. It's not a rough part of town by any means anymore. It's just really bad management/ownership.

Edit: I have increased the star rating from 1 star to 3 stars because the owner had the courtesy to call me after I filed a formal complaint via Marathon's website. I really hope that I can increase this rating in another couple of months after they make some much-needed upgrades that are allegedly in the works. Shout-out to Marathon corporate for passing along the memo to the local ownership.

Edit: January 2024 - Wow this place has made a remarkable turnaround! All of the pumps have been upgraded. The building's exterior received a paint refresh. Another restaurant has been added. Tap to pay actually works at the pumps. Great job!

Terrible Experience at this Gas Station: Overflowing Pump and Rude Attendant

I recently had an extremely disappointing and frustrating experience here, and I feel compelled to share my ordeal to warn others about the abysmal service and lack of professionalism I encountered. My visit to this gas station turned out to be nothing short of a nightmare, and I strongly advise you to steer clear of this establishment.

As I was refueling my vehicle, the gas pump failed to auto-stop, resulting in an overflow that made an absolute mess. I still smell like gasoline after a 30 min shower. The fact that the equipment malfunctioned is concerning enough, but what aggravated the situation was the complete absence of any preventative measures or assistance from the attendant.

Rather than acknowledging the issue and taking action to rectify the situation, they displayed an astounding level of rudeness and disinterest. When I approached them for help, they pointed to the general area of paper towels and said i should pay attention……

But maybe they should put an out of order sign on faulty pumps instead of blaming the customer.
