KGT Remodeling

We couldn’t be happier with our kitchen remodel. From start to finish, KGT Builders delivered excellent workmanship, professionalism, and attention to detail. The team was reliable, communicated clearly throughout the process, and completed the project to a high standard. The quality of the work truly shows, and the end result exceeded our expectations. We highly recommend KGT Builders to anyone looking for a smooth remodeling experience and beautiful results.

We hired this builder for a full home remodel that began in January. This was a $500,000+ remodel, and we were told to plan on a 4–5-month timeline, so we purchased a camper to live in during construction. Unfortunately, the project dragged on far beyond what was promised. We finally moved back into our home after 6 months, even though construction was still incomplete, and we ended up living through the remainder of the work.
Sadly, this remodel ended up involving an attorney, and we ultimately had to hire another company to fix mistakes and complete unfinished work.
• Whole-wall entertainment center was installed 4" off-center relative to the wall and tray ceiling
• Dining room accent art/light was installed 2" off-center from the cabinetry
• Ceiling paint began peeling after only 4 months
• Decorative ceiling beams in the kitchen began falling apart, and the center beam wasn’t even centered over the island. They had to be replaced and repositioned after a lengthy battle with the owner, Greg
• The island pendants didn’t work with the beams and had to be reordered. We were charged $850 for freight for replacement lights
• Now we experience electrical issues such as kitchen lights flickering when hot water is used in the sink, dishwasher, and washer, which is extremely concerning.
• Kitchen and utility cabinet doors were designed/installed so they bang into the refrigerator and wall
• The kitchen sink didn’t fit properly, we were charged to replace it ($210)
• Rollout shelves didn’t function because they failed to account for the garbage disposal, we were charged ($400)
• Oven/microwave cabinet was designed incorrectly. They had to cut the cabinetry apart just to make the appliances fit
• Dog water bowl faucet was installed sticking out past the bowl — we were forced to replace it with a hinged faucet ($850)
• Communication was nonexistent throughout the project
Bottom line: for a project of this size and cost, we expected quality workmanship, professional project management, and basic attention to detail, and that is not what we received. This remodel was costly, stressful, and far beyond the promised timeframe, and we would not recommend this builder.

Kgt builders is very awesome they ho above and beyond to make sure the custome gets what they want and makes sure the customer is very satisfied with everything gregg makes sure to work with all customers i give this company a 5star rating and will recommend to anyone looking for home remodeling

KGT Builders is the perfect remodeler/design build company. We loved the design they presented to us - but were willing to work and make a few changes. Pricing was based more on the finishes we chose than anything else.

Construction was fast and, fortunately, we were up north during the process. Greg did stay in touch with us and make sure we were informed of the progress. We now have a beautiful kitchen that is great to entertain in. Thanks to Greg, Theresa and the entire KGT team.

UPDATE: We are now in the final stages of rebuilding our home post hurricane Ian. KGT 's project manager, Bill Cohen, has been amazing. His level of communication is off the charts and he knows how to leverage his relationships with the subcontractors to keep things moving. He has earned the respect of all who work with him on our project which is a real asset. We are grateful to have him as part of the KGT team working hard to get us back in our home. Thank you, Bill!

We are having a house built by KGT. The process has been smooth and getting our permit went well. Our architect needed to adjust some things for permitting but KGT was quick to resubmit to keep the process moving. Ally, their designer, is so helpful with selections in what can be an overwhelming process. She will suggest and pull together items after listening and learning your style. Greg is calming and reassuring that all is under control. The entire KGT team is behind us and we are looking forward to working with them to completion! Leo and Karen
