Beware of this company!

I had a contract with them but our project was delayed. When we were ready to get started, i called several times to ask about design and what was needed from me to move forward. They said they were working on it. Months passed, and nothing happened. When they finally got around to our project, we met in person only for them to tell us they were not able to hold the price and asked for an almost $20k increase. I understood and did not want them to lose money, but I wanted to cancel and get our deposit back since no work has been done. They would not refund us the total deposit and barely picked up phone calls after i said i wanted to cancel. They never returned voicemails, and when they did pick up, they did not follow through on anything they said. It took weeks to get a simple note stating the contract was canceled and even longer to get our partial deposit (thank goodness I got something). How they treated me after i said I wanted to cancel the contract made me relieved I didn't go through with it. They came to me with an increase. I didn't just decide randomly to cancel. I could only imagine how they would treat me if i had concerns during construction. Not to mention the fact that they did nothing after months and months. This whole situation felt shady.

What makes this even more shady was after we finally finished with them. One of their former employees called me stating they owe him money and what the details of the cancellation were. I didn't get involved, but there seems to be some financial concerns surrounding this company. Be cautious!
