Compass Solar Energy

I am from Destin and Compass was willing to help me add 5 panels to my current system. Dan Gardner traveled and got on my roof to make sure it would fit, gave me an estimate and assisted in the installation. I am totally satisfied with the quality of work and the fact that they would not leave until they made sure everything was working with emphase software and my phone application. Everything works perfect! I am very satisfied with my installation and how everything works right the first time.

Compass Solar did a great job with my new solar panels. They look great and work great. Bryan Rickles was very informative and available during the whole process.
After doing my research, I concluded that the solar 'rental' guys that were knocking on my door was not what I needed. Compass Solar is apparently one of the only businesses local in the Pensacola area, and also been around since the late nineties. Which makes me feel better about any needed warranty work.
So far, I'm producing plenty more electricity than FPL has sold me, and we keep the AC on 69 now, and I'm not worried about lights being on. Happy wife, happy life.
I'll update if I have any problems, but so far, so good!

Please think twice before going with solar from Compass Solar Energy. They will not stand up for their customers with warranty issues from manufacturers that they align themselves with and are happy to sell you their products. Yes, Compass resells products from other manufacturers, but the warranty is only as good as the company behind it. If you have a problem, Compass is very happy to charge you service/inspection fees for determining if your system truly has a problem, but they won't stand behind the products they sold you. They will claim there's nothing they can do, so you will be stuck with a nonperforming system with no recourse whatsoever. Please do your due diligence and know that this company will point the finger elsewhere when you have a problem because after you pay them...it's not their problem anymore...it's now yours!

According to you it was a lightening strike but considering this was the third time I had a communication issue your opinion is suspect. When I purchased another 40k in solar panels there's a reason I didn't call you for the new system. Your lack of standing up for your work. You forget how long it took you to answer calls for repairs. Even when I called you for this issue it took 3 days and a second call to get you in the phone. Why would I deny having the panels removed? It was 2 years later and had nothing to do with the communication problems I was having. AGAIN. Also the back that this is the 4th 1 star review in the left 6 months says more about you than anything I can say. I never expected you to do the right thing anyways. I'm sure the BBB will be happy to take another bad review as well.

I've had this system through compass for years. From the beginning I've had issues. It's always impossible to get ahold of them. Then when you do it's impossible to get them out to you. Still under warranty but because I refused to pay the last time they came out to fix a continuing problem, they refuse to service my system that I paid multi thousands of dollars from them.

The folks at Compass are awesome to deal with. Their prices were better than anyone else I talked to and the service better. I would highly recommend Compass to anyone who is looking for solar options for their home or business. They have many different options that will fit any situation or budget. The crews that came to the house were very professional and cleaned up behind themselves. They make the process very easy for the customer by taking care of everything so you don't have any hassle to deal with. Compass is also a local company so when you choose to go solar you are keeping the money local.
