Ace Hardware

I came to this location to have my kitchen knives sharpened and wow am I extremely disappointed. After the knives were sharpened and I inspected the first one, there were nicks and chunks out of the blade When I told the gal who was sharpening the knives, she went to get the manager, whose name I'm told is "stone". Stone appeared to have zero concept of what customer service is, as he told me, "the machine is going to do what it's going to do" and acted like I was some sort of huge inconvenience to him because I just wanted my knives sharpened and looking/cutting better than they did when I came in. He had another individual come and start to resharpen the select knives that weren't done properly the first time. This lady questioned me and continued to make me feel like I was a huge inconvenience to her. Not happy with my experience at this ace hardware at all. With the price gouging Ace hardware does, I at least expect them to care a little about the customer.

Great alternative to the big box stores with an easy neighborhood vibe and plenty of parking. Great selection, reasonable prices and very friendly and helpful employees! Thanks Shannon and Mike for Great service today!

My review is based on my negative experience with the window screen department and their employee named Rob and the store manager named Chris. My husband and I had a window screen replaced at this Ace location. The window screen became loose three months after having it replaced at this store. Both the screen and one of the handles started to come off in the corner. Because the store positions itself as having a mission to "help customers solve their problems, big or small, and get on with their lives" I thought they would work with us and fix the screen. Not only would they not replace the screen - they wouldn’t even acknowledge it was their screen! They also wanted to charge $52 for us to pay to have the screen replaced at our cost which was very excessive. (We ended up paying $26 to have the screen replaced at another local reputable business called Alumflo. See my positive 5-star review of that business in my profile).

When I was trying to get the screen repaired with Ace after employee Rob refused to help, I took the time to meet with the manager, Chris, and explain the issues to him but Chris also said he could do nothing. According to Chris, they stand behind their work for only 30 days. After that you are out of luck. You must have a receipt. (This is fair). And when I gave Chris the manager feedback that his employee, Rob is unprofessional, does not provide good customer service and also does not have the skills to repair screens (he is the person that repaired the screen originally), he did not care and said there was nothing he could. Hopefully, this feedback will bring these concerns to their attention so they can improve.

Man please hire employees that can actually use the brain they've been given. Called first to save time, "sure we refill propane come on down" and there's someone there that can do it? "Yep!" Drive 20 minutes to get there, pay for it all, wait for ten minutes then it's "ohhh duhhh we're out of propane so sorry!"

My god...

And never again by the way. Plenty of propane around...

Ordered a HONDA key fob cover as a switch out. No programming needed. came in after a week then I went in, another 5 days to schedule key cutting. Who has time like this,3 trips!!! Get your key cut there if your have Plenty of Time.
