Ruth & Steve are top notch. I have worked with them on several jobs and I am extremely happy with Wooster. They respond right away and will help out in any way they can. If you are looking to get a well(s) drilled the right way look into this company immediately. Thank you!

The Wooster family has always done me right. I have been in the irrigation business for 22 years and they are always able to get it right!

Unfortunately I did not have a good experience with Wooster Wells. Long story short, Wooster Wells took two attempts at drilling an irrigation well, but in the end I'm out nearly $2,200 dollars ($1,800 well drill fees and $400 lost landscaping) and have a well with 6.5 ppm iron, which is so high the iron stains cannot reasonably be mitigated! This is unfortunate for well drillers that come so highly recommended, especially when many of my immediate neighbors have high quality usable wells with much lower iron content.

The folks at Wooster Wells are very nice people and obviously have experience running their equipment, but they take a very unsophisticated approach to the drilling process in regards to the quality of the water. Rather than drilling and taking simple water samples with cheap test kits to determine iron and salt content, they just decide on a depth, drill to that depth then simply taste the water (yes with their mouth) to determine it's quality.

Their first drilling attempt had them going to down to about 110 feet where they ran into salt water. From there they backed up 20 feet to about 90 feet, while filling the void with porous sand. This allowed the saltwater below to eventual travel upward and intrude the good water at 90 feet. For a year I attempted landscaping not realizing I was pumping well water with 7000 ppm of salt on to my vegetation (confirmed by Southern Water Systems)! Every shrub I planted died and my lawn was bright yellow with dead brown spots for a year.

After realizing this Wooster came back to drill another well, which is why I gave them 2 stars. Unfortunately, I didn't know what I know now or I would have insisted on them taking a more methodical approach. Alas they simply drilled to 55 feet tasted the water, said it was a little irony and bid me good day. Since then, I've had the water tested twice. The first test done by Southern Water Systems was so high in iron that it was off the charts for their test kit, so they just called it 8 ppm. The second test was done by the folks at Rust Tech, which came in about 6.5 ppm. Rust Tech determined that a 6.5 ppm iron level is too high to attempt rust stain mitigation.

Consequently, a good pocket of low iron and low salt water does exist here in Tequesta between 60 and 90 feet, which Wooster Wells should be aware of being a fourth generation well digging outfit! Again, this is confirmed by many of my neighbors on my same block.

Hind sight being what it is, if I were to have another well drilled I would ensure that the drillers use a sophisticated approach where they use a simple iron test kit and a salt meter to incrementally determine the quality of the water as they drill. The End.
