Ten Little Engines

I took my mower in to be repaired. They told me about the $60 fee and the young lady said they would get to it in about week. I waited ten days and called to check. The lady who answered the phone said it was next on the list and would be looked at in the next day or two. I waited another week and called back. The lady said it was on the schedule for the next day. I waited 4 more days, called back and this time another lady on the phone said they had no idea when they would get to it and explained it was their busy season.

I went and picked up my mower and took it elsewhere as I needed it repaired to cut my grass. They refused to refund my $60 they charged for doing nothing.

I had taken equipment there before with no issue and was very disappointed this time. I would not have minded if they had initially told me it could be a month or longer before they could work on it. But I felt the young lady lied to me every time I called instead of being honest.

I noticed another review where they no longer work on equipment they don't sell. This may be a good idea since they can't get around to working on equipment. I also recommend they let their customers know how long the delay might be when people bring equipment in too.

Very disappointed.

I have gone to Ten Little Engines on several occasions for a number of reasons. Have been to both their service center and their sales showroom. I love the fact they are a locally owned family business! I have dealt with David, Monica and Rose (family that owns and works the business). Everyone has been so kind and helpful! When I needed to replace my self propelled lawnmower, they were my first and only stop! As soon as I decided to purchase the mower, David was on the phone to his delivery guy (Mike) who immediately came and followed me to my home to deliver my new mower….can’t ask for any better service than that!!! Stop by, check them out, you won’t be disappointed…they are great people!!

Recently I inherited a Bush Hog Zero Turn Mower. After approximately 10 phone calls to different locations, (including the manufacturer) I reached Stacy in the Service Department. My expectations by this time were very low. Boy was I surprised. Stacy put me on a 3 way with Kevin who knew more about the mower from memory than anyone I had previously spoken to. They offered to email me the schematics and to top it off they informed me of their Veteran Discount. I am now a very satisfied customer and can’t wait to do business within Count me as a very pleased customer.

On Monday August 18,2025 I stopped by Ten Little Engines only to see a note on the door stating that as of August 15 that they no longer worked on equipment that was not purchased there. I proceeded to enter the store and spoke with David about my situation. He explained why he made the decision to not work on other products that he had not sold and then took the time to explain what my potential problem was with my generator. David said you probably need a AVR that’ll probably take care of your problem so I went home and ordered one just finished installing it done all my test and my generator operates as if it was new again thank you David this will be my go to for small engines from here on out. I haven’t seen customer service like this in years.

We took our zero turn mower in for a service and 10 Little Engines went above and beyond to make sure our new-to-us mower was at the top of it's game. They got our mower back to us faster than expected at a great price. Knowledgeable, friendly staff. 10/10 We will be back for regular maintenance.
