Sebastian Pool Service

We made the mistake of using this company for a repairing pavers, pebble-tech, and glass pool tiles after severe damage from the hurricane. Sebastian was on time for appointment and quick to quote. He was a little high in price but new he could get it as everyone was going to be busy. We agreed to do the work after picking out new glass tiles and pebble-tech color. Anyway after starting the work he quickly disappeared and numerous calls went unanswered. We are part time in Florida and he knew we wanted this done while we were in town which was more than realistic as he had nearly 5 months to do the work and he didn't care. When he finally got around to doing the pool he didn't actually demo much of the pools old pebble tech at all which Ive had several pools redone and had full demo to shock-crete and based on the quoted price that's what I was getting but instead he just plastered over most of it with glass beads added to plaster. Yes, I said plaster despite picking out a Pebble-tech sample and it being listed in the quote. The actual pool came out looking OK but I cant speak for how long it will hold up as its not the products or work I agreed to. Then when it came to the pavers he said he didn't include the balance of broken and missing pavers despite discussions and quoted measurements obliviously including them. I agreed to pay more just to get it over with and he took the money and never showed up again. He laughed when I had to call from a different phone number to get him to answer. I said I would report him to FL contractors board as a fraud he laughed, said do it and hung up. I feel bad I hadn't gotten around to writing this sooner as it may have saved some other potential customers a lot of harm and headache. God has a special place for people like Sebastian.

Unprofessional, Irresponsible, Unreliable and Rude!
This is how unfortunately we can describe Sebastian and his company Sebastian Pool Service! We have been his clients for years, were closing our eyes for the unprofessional way he is doing business from the very beginning when his son was cleaning our pool but today enough is enough! Our pool guy Carlos is coming by every Monday morning, so we had a pool deck company coming in later on Monday to clean and seal the travertine deck. The plan was Sebastian’s pool guy cleans the pool, then we have the other company clean and seal the deck. But Carlos didn't show up so we texted Sebastian to let him know of the work that has been done on the deck and to let him know that no one is supposed to walk on the tiles for days until they dry! Told him we need his employee to skip this week. Further more we taped the outside of our pool screen doors with a tape in attempt to stop people from coming in. At 6:33am Today while we were sleeping Carlos had removed the tape from the door and had entered the pool cage and had started to clean our pool! Before sunrise! Of all weeks exactly this week! Now we have foot prints on the floor! My wife texted Sebastian at 6:45am to let him know what is happening and to ask him to call back. He called 10min after the beginning of his work hours (8:00am). So, his words: 1/ We texted him too late the previous day, so close to the end of his working hours (we texted at 4:55pm, he works until 5:00pm) and 2/the company that we hired to clean and seal the pool deck is at fold because they didn't put a yellow Caution tape! He said his guy Carlos didn't think twice about removing the tape we put because it was not yellow and it wasn't written CAUTION on it! And 3/ Sebastian actually complained that we texted him so early in the morning!!! Also to the question why he things it is ok for his guys to clean pools in the dark before Sunrise when it is just reckless and a huge hazard he laughed and said that they are trying to clean the pools before to get very hot! We are his clients for years! His guys never, ever came before sunrise to clean! To the question who will pay for the damage, because now we have to re-seal, he said that the company that did the sealing should take care of it! So to summarize: a small, family business owner receives a text message from a several years long client with the ask to contact his employee to skip a service for the week, Sebastian ignores the message and chooses NOT to contact his employee knowing that this will lead to a damage to our property. He just can’t be bothered close to the end of his working hours! And let’s not forget we didn't have to bother him in the first place if his employee came when he was supposed to! Sebastian was rude on the phone and unwilling to except any responsibility! Everything in this review can be proofed with text messages and security camera images! Is this the kind of service you want to get! And there are more stories from years ago, but this review got too long fast! Needless to say he got fired!

Run don't walk! This company was outsourced by the pool company that I hired to redo my deck, waterline tiles and pool coating. When I tried to point out imperfections and asked if they could be repaired he was incredibly rude. He stated he was matching my energy. However, I was being polite and just trying to get what I paid for. There are still a large amount of imperfections in my pool coating and I believe if I was Cuban and could speak spanish I would have been treated more professionally. I don't believe I would have success in getting repairs done as they don't answer thier phones either. Don't use this company! Welcome to the new America where you come last!

Sebastian pools did a great job resurfacing my pool and stripping and sealing the lanai. Sebastian himself kept me informed throughout the process and completed the project in a timely fashion. I recommend his company for weekly maintenance of your pool too.

Was referred by my pool Resurfacing Co.for start up. Made appointment week before and spoke with him the morning of appt.
NO CALL! NO TEXT ! NO SHOW! Very unprofessional
