Parrish Well Drilling & Pump Service replaced our residential water-supply well system during a 2-day period in early May 2025. The old 4-inch diameter well was 38 years old and 163 feet deep. The new 5-inch well is 250 feet deep and was constructed using mud rotary drilling. Both wells were completed in the Intermediate Aquifer. On Day 1, a work crew headed by Todd Parrish (owner) excavated a recirculation pit, drilled an open hole to 74 feet below land surface; then set and grouted 5-inch diameter PVC casing to a 74-foot depth. On Day 2, the old well was abandoned per Sarasota County and SWFWMD requirements, drilling of the new well was completed, a new 1 hp submersible pump on 100 feet of new 1-1/4 inch Schedule 80 PVC drop pipe was installed, and 60 feet of underground wiring was replaced. Well abandonment involved removing the old submersible pump, wiring, and drop pipe and filling the old well hole with 4 bags of rock and 13 bags of cement. Todd returned for 2 hours the next morning to cut the old well off 2 feet below land surface and re-grade all lawn areas disturbed by work. I can’t speak highly enough about the work performed. Todd has more than 40 years of experience drilling in this area and is very knowledgeable of its geology and water-bearing formations. Brandon’s coordination of work and water quality testing, inspections by Florida Department of Health, submittals of applications to Sarasota County / SWFWMD for new well construction and abandonment of the old well were timely and seamless; and he facilitated the receipt of a $1,895 rebate from SWFWMD for the well abandonment. In the office, Tanya was very responsive to administrative questions I had. All members of the work crew were very professional, personable, well equipped, and took great care to keep the work area and surroundings safe and uncluttered. Hats off and two thumbs up to everyone for a job well done.

I just met an angel and his name is Sam Parrish and his assistant Logan. I have been dealing with a water issue for almost a week and today ..couldn’t handle it anymore and prayed for Gods help. Through my tears of desperation I remembered a company I’ve seen around Myakka and googled their number. A very kind woman immediately phoned the owner Sam and wouldn’t ya know …he was just a couple miles away.
Not only did they come right over ..but he carefully and methodically went through the entire system and patiently troubleshooted this issue . It’s was my pressure system all out of wack! They fixed it !!!! Then he gave me his personal cell to keep him posted!
