Liz's LampShades

Needed to upgrade an old lamp. She was fantastic. Helping us select everything, from the size of the harp, the perfect lampshade and a finial to top it all off.
Very happy it was my first and last stop!

I purchased a shade, took it home, unwrapped it, saw the color/size didn't work, returned it the very next day. ZERO inclination to refund my money because the plastic had been removed. I pointed out I knew I could have purchased the same shade for far less online, but I intentionally chose to "support local." Still....ZERO inclination to refund my money. As others have stated, their shades are extremely expensive. Their return policy will have me forever shop online for the same shade at a significantly lower price. I am terribly disappointed, I'm a "lamp junkie," ( buy and change out frequently ), so this is a big "no win" for Joe-Lin.

Fantastic experience and great suggestions/advice on replacing shades for a new look on a matching pair of old lamps. Anna, the owner spent a great deal of time trying various options. The less than 5 star reviews here mostly complain about price - yes, they are more expensive than you can buy on-line - but the service and knowledge available at this store was worth it! That's the whole point of going to a "brick and mortar" store - first class advice and guidance.

We went to Joe Lin Lampshades looking for a lampshade. The staff person was totally rude. When we entered the shop, both of us said hello to the sales clerk. She did not respond. We then reviewed the entire store and did not find the lampshade we were looking for.

As we headed for the door, the sales clerk finally spoke asking if she could help us. We told her what we were looking for. She pointed towards a shelf, and said if we have that kind of shade, it would be over there. She then went back to doing nothing. She never offered to take us to where she thought the shade might be. She also never offered to order the shade we wanted.

I went to Joe-Lin Lampshade store to purchase two shades for existing lamps. I saw two different colored shades that would work well with my lamps. I chose to purchase two shades of my preferred style/color (the prices were not marked on any of the shades in the store) and. upon checkout, was shocked to hear that they were $249 each (so that would be $500 for the two). I quickly set those aside and asked for the price for my second choice shade; they were $149 each. OMG! The lady at checkout says “but they are made in America”……
The ladies at the store were cordial and helpful, but I can purchase complete lamps with shades cheaper, at most any furniture store. Not taking anything away from Joe-Lin Lampshades, just know that their shades are extremely expensive.
