I reached out to this company to get a quote and to discuss options for a entry gate system for my new home 4 weeks ago. I sent them photos of my property and examples of what I wanted the gate to look like to help make their job easier. A project manager did reply to my initial email, but I have become tired of chasing them around to get no reply or pricing even after following up via email several times. I think they just saved me some headaches down the road if this is the level of service they provide on the front side.
Pro tip from a successful business owner. Call people back and communicate if you want to sell your products……. It’s not rocket science!

⭐ ZERO-STAR REVIEW — AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS

If I could give this company ZERO stars, I absolutely would. This has been, without question, one of the worst customer service and installation experiences I’ve ever dealt with.

1. Hidden fees before the job even started

They charged me a $66 “industry-standard-trip-fee” for the initial measurement — without ever telling me there would be a charge. It simply showed up on my credit card. I had to call them to find out why I’d been billed. Completely unacceptable.

2. They took my payment info… but never ordered my garage doors

When I accepted the quote and called to schedule the install of my double garage door, they took my payment information and told me I was “on the schedule” with a 5–7 week lead time.

After that? NOTHING.
No updates, no follow-ups, no communication whatsoever.

When I finally called to check the status, I learned they had never ordered my doors at all and had never scheduled anything. I lost five weeks because of their incompetence.

3. Sloppy workmanship and broken promises

Several parts of the job that were supposed to be included simply weren’t done.
The exterior trim that had been properly caulked before they removed it was reinstalled without caulk. When I asked about it, I was told they “don’t caulk that trim,” even though it was caulked before they touched it. They eventually came back to fix it, but only after I insisted.

4. A ridiculous payment run-around

At the end of the job, instead of processing my credit card they had on file... one of their sales reps repeatedly called me asking why I hadn’t paid.

When I finally spoke with him, he said I had to call the office to pay, even though they already had my card. It was a frustrating, unnecessary waste of time and showed how completely disorganized this company is... after all this... when I called and they took my payment info again, they never charged me for the balance due.

5. The final straw: massive unauthorized charges MONTHS after the job was finished

Over two months after completion, I woke up to an enormous, unauthorized charge on my credit card — more than the entire original quote... not the 40% balance they never took care of on their end.

There was:

* No invoice
* No explanation
* Should have been no outstanding balance because they took my payment info the take care of the 40% balance at the end of the installation
* No reason whatsoever for a completely NEW $$$$ charge

This is absolutely unacceptable for any legitimate business.

BOTTOM LINE:

This company is disorganized, unprofessional, careless with customer communication, careless with payment handling, and creates unnecessary stress at every step.

Save yourself the headache. Choose literally any other company.

I will never use them again and strongly recommend you stay far away.

My husband and I had our shutters installed by Dillard Gulf Coast LLC,. The technicians did a wonderful job, and the shutters look beautiful. The technicians were wonderful, very polite and accommodating. The company’s administration was very professional and courteous which makes the company an overall success. I would definitely recommend them if you are looking for hurricane shutters.

Gulf Coast Shutters just installed 11 hurricane shutters for us in Santa Rosa Beach. Extremely professional and the installers did a great job during sweltering heat. They cleaned up the area each day and were respectful of our property. We will use them in the future to purchase and install more hurricane shutters.
Family owned business that takes pride in their work.

We installed a gate opener but couldn't get it to work properly, a call to the help line was no help. We found the Dillard Gulf Coast google search for gate openers and scheduled. Justin came, actually earlier than scheduled (notifying us via phone call) and quickly found the issue! A design flaw in the directions. He made the adjustment needed, we couldn't be happier with his service. He's truly an asset to the company. Thank you!
