Gate Express Carwash

I had an unfortunate experience at this location a week ago. As I was coming out and the machine was spraying the tire shine on my wheels, I received an immediate alert on my car saying my tire pressure was low.

All 4 tires had 36 psi before I went in. I immediately pulled into a parking spot to find that the machine ripped the entire valve stem from my tire and it was completely flat.

The manager was nice and said sorry and filled out a report, but that was it. I asked for a refund on the car wash, but he said he couldn’t give me one. I needed to call customer service.

I had just paid $24 for a car wash and now I was stuck. My car is newer and doesn’t have a spare, so I had to wait over 4 hours to have a tow truck tow my car just a few doors down to Discount Tire to get it fixed.

While I waited I called their customer service to get a refund. The lady was surprised that they just didn’t give me one on the spot.

So finally at 6pm after waiting 4 hours, the tow truck came and got my car to Discount Tire to get it fixed.

It’s been a week and I received an email from Gate stating that they’re not responsible basically for anything that happens to your car when it goes through the car wash.

I just want people to be aware that the Gate people do not care what happened, how long I was stuck there, nothing. Basically not our fault our machine ripped the tire valve stem off your tire and left it completely flat.

Will definitely not be going to Gate car washes in the future as I feel they could have been more compassionate about the situation.

I have been going to this location since it opened several years ago. What a great place to wash/clean your vehicle. The drive thru car wash works very good and the dryers dry your vehicle pretty good. Vacuums work excellent. Staff is very helpful and friendly. I recommend this business and this location.

I've been to this location several times and each time have ended up needing some kind of specific assistance that my dude Ethan has come through for me every time. Give that man a raise. No, I don't know him. Yes, I like to leave a good review when warranted, as I used to wait tables for years. I recognize good customer service when I see it and Ethan serves it. I'll be back to this location, eventhough it's further from my home than another Gate Carwash, because I know Ethan will be there(most likely) to have my back. Thanks!

Been going here for months with zero issues until today. When I took my truck through the bed was completely filled with soap after the car wash so I went to a staff member and when I told him what happened he said “so” and then I asked if I could run it through again or use a hose to clean it out he said “nahhhh” this kid is all of 17 and obviously his first job learn how to actually talk to people jesus.

I paid $20 for a car wash today after accidentally going into the wrong lane for the gas station. Said what the heck, I’ve been needing one. My car came out DIRTIER than before. I drive a lot for work so I knew the front was pretty buggy. Not only was the front still covered in bugs, but I had these black streaks all over the front grill and behind my side mirrors. Not to mention the dried water marks covering my entire car. The rain would have done a better job. The $20 selection mentioned all these additional coats etc, and I received 3 minutes of quick soap, dirty scrubbers, rinse, and dryers. Ive paid less and gotten more at smaller places. There was a slight line so I honestly wonder if they just spead everyone up and did minimal, or if they normally operate like this. Either way I will never recommend this to anyone. 2024 is expensive and this is a clear representation of corporations cutting corners. 😫
