The sales procedure was comprehensive, with effective follow-up to keep me updated from the initial assessment to the final completion of the solar installation. The team took charge of every detail: from the design and permitting to ordering, installation, testing, inspection, and even securing rebates. They displayed creativity in overcoming design hurdles, such as determining the optimal placement for various components considering the physical limitations of our home. Crafting a solar/battery system is technically complex as components need to be properly aligned to maximize efficiency while adhering to numerous standards and codes. The crew responsible for the installation was exceptionally skilled and professional. They planned meticulously before executing, never rushing and always demonstrating a genuine interest in delivering top-notch work. They installed an 8.55kw solar system, designed to cater to our current needs and also accommodate the future expansion of our soon-to-be family of five. His passion is evident in the way he discusses the projects he's handled, and he explained everything clearly, ensuring we fully understood our purchase. It was refreshing to interact with someone who treated us with respect and kindness. We're confident that the work will be executed professionally and promptly. We had contacted at least a dozen companies over the years, some with high ratings, but they were a struggle to deal with. But with Florida Solar Tech, it was a breeze. As a professional in the Energy Field, I have a long history of working in various companies and positions. I started my career in gas distribution/engineering and over time, I found myself drawn to renewable energy, specifically photovoltaics. After getting my certification in Photovoltaic energy, I was a partner at a company that was a Sunpower dealer. Later, I worked at another company where my responsibilities included residential installation of solar panels. When I retired and built a new home, I made sure it was prepared for future solar power. Due to circumstances, it wasn't until much later that I decided to get bids from Sunpower dealers. After meeting with several, I was most impressed with Florida Solar Tech. I was particularly pleased with Richard, who made me feel very comfortable with choosing Florida Solar Tech. Despite some supply chain issues, I decided on German made Meyer Burger panels. The system was installed in the late summer and I was highly impressed with the team from Florida Solar Tech. Their workmanship was very professional and they made the entire process seamless. They were also extremely responsive to a few minor issues we experienced during start-up. I would wholeheartedly endorse and recommend Florida Solar Tech. I've been extremely satisfied with their services.

I was initially going to give Florida Solar Tech a 4.8-star rating, but since that's so close to a 5-star, I decided to round it up. The best part: we absolutely adore our solar. witnessing our bill drop drastically is an incredible feeling. The team, including Luke and Mitchell, did an outstanding job installing the system. They were swift, efficient, and the quality of their work is commendable. The electricians, including Jesse, also did an impressive job. The reason Florida Solar Tech is less costly than others is because they utilize SMA String Inverters. If you're blessed with full sun, don't let anyone convince you that you need a more expensive system. You won't gain much extra benefit. However, if you have partial or full shade, you might want to do some calculations as other systems might offer some benefits. But, SMA ShadeFix significantly reduces the gap in those benefits and drawbacks. Now, to address the minor issues that caused a 0.2 deduction in my rating. Once the solar was installed and batteries were in place, we didn't have any troubles whatsoever. One of the irritations, which isn't entirely Florida Solar Tech's fault, is that our energy provider doesn't net meter. They only credit fuel cost, which is 30% of the total cost. This means we produce 97% of our electricity, but our coverage is only 52%. Until batteries become readily available again, we could have chosen a system nearly half the size and achieved almost the same result. So, if you're not planning on getting batteries and your provider doesn't net meter, keep this in mind. Lastly, there were some communication issues between Florida Solar Tech and the energy provider. Our solar system sat on our roof for nearly two months before being activated due to scheduling issues. Despite these minor inconveniences, overall, we had a positive experience with our solar installation.

Working with Florida Solar Tech was a delightful experience. Their team was so professional and worked around the clock until all installation was done. They are not your average solar company as I had many questions and doubts but their explanations and the practical work they did left me beyond satisfied.
