Design Within Reach

I went the other day to get some ideas for my place and I really had the best experience, I had the chance to meet Juan, a design specialist from that location and he was just great, very knowledgeable and kind, he navigated me not only through what I was looking for but he went the extra mile and offered me so many more options and finishes. I can tell he loves what he does. I will definitely come back once Im ready to pull the trigger, he made my shopping delightful.

Design Within Reach has a stylish modern showroom with iconic pieces you want to try — lots of minimalist chairs, tables & lighting that really inspire 🪑✨. That said, prices are high 💸 and delivery/customer service can be slow or frustrating, with mixed follow‑ups and occasional long wait times 📦⏳. Great spot to browse if you love contemporary design, but be prepared for inconsistent service overall.

I went into design within Reach to make a purchase for my new home. The experience was unforgettable. The staff was so attentive to my needs and knowledgeable in every piece of furniture that I was interested in buying. Juan and the manager Gabriela along with the rest of the team really engaged with me every step of the way. Very professional! I look forward to making future purchases with them. Wow, definitely should have read the reviews about the customer service. Absolutely awful, and they try to clean their hands and only point fingers at the distributor. I, like others have said, purchased an item that I was TOLD was in stock and should be delivered ASAP. Lo and behold, one month later, still have not received. I follow-up bi-weekly, and bi-weekly, I am told there is a new delivery date. Pushed back. Pushed back. Pushed back. 3 times now. They never reach out proactively to tell me, even after the date of arrival has passed. They wait until I reach out which I do after a day or so grace period of not receiving the item, only to hear that it was pushed back again. I should have ordered directly from the Herman Miller site instead of using Design Within Reach. Absolutely awful experience. Now I am in a pickle because the purchase I made with them had 20% off Herman Miller which does not always go on sale. So due to their negligence I will be out 20% if I cancel my purchase. Oh and also, take a look at the screenshot below when I asked if there could be further compensation for the inconveniences, and some guarantee on this 3rd delayed delivery date. The response is laughable "What do you want me to do?" I don't know... Answer the questions? Eventually he forwarded me to the manager (or at least says he did, and she says there is nothing they can do). Don't know what to believe anymore.
