recommend: absolutely not! these people replaced our drain field about 2 years ago, and it has now failed. They recently came out and pumped the tank (took them 5 days to come out and pump the tank, even though we told them that it was backing up into the house) but failed to do an inspection to tell us why we were already having problems (I had asked them to do an inspection when they pumped the tank and report back to me). After repeated and repeated phone calls over 3 weeks they refused to call me back. My only assumption is they are afraid of correcting their poor workmanship or responsibility of their work. If only they would return phone calls, I wouldn't have to complain!!!

We live in a rural area and needed a septic tank with a mound. Carter and Sons made a beautiful mound and did a wonderful job! They’re receptionist, Haley, is an absolute doll! She responded to all my questions and concerns in a timely manner. Communication was very good! I would recommend this company!

Carter & Sons Septic Tank Service Inc did an outstanding job installing a septic tank for my barn. They are the best in our area, on time, professional, and completes the job!

They put in two septic tanks and a mound drain-field system and worked through difficulties of rain, mud, stuck dump trucks and floating tanks. Carter & Sons even got involved early enough to discover a potential plumbing issue and saved me thousands of dollars in additional equipment. Excellent work and knowledgeable!! I will definitely be using Carter & Sons in the future!!

If you're buying a new home and ask for a septic inspection. Be sure and be aware that they do not inspect the entire septic system. They will only check the sewage tank and do not inspect the gray water tank. ( Apparently there is a difference here). I usually do not leave very negative reviews. However I am a bit frustrated that this distinction was not made clear to me by the company prior to me paying for an inspection.

They did check the septic tank.

They did do as they were asked.

But they should be more upfront with what their service is actually performing. Especially to a new potential customer who has no familiarity with septic systems.

The woman I spoke to on the phone was very polite and patient.

Just be aware and ask questions about the services you're paying for when it comes to these instances.
