Advanced Generators service is overall okay. However, as many other comments said, it is quite pricey. Expect well over a $350 bill for a simple drive out and restart of the device. If there are other companies that service your generator and you are not able to afford a steep price range I would highly recommend seeking out another company.

No idea what the negative reviews are about … I didn’t expect to write any review but they treated us great. We were supposed to leave for a trip asap and they got us in and out quicker than expected and for a good price. Friendly and knowledgeable.

Is see all these people complaining that their units weren’t looked at immediately; if you talk to the business, they do all their morning work outside of the shop and essentially you’re waiting for the tech to get back; it’s all a part of dealing with a business; they have their way of doing business and in-house repairs just aren’t as common.

For those complaining about the prices of an oil change or work to be completed; ever heard of asking for an estimate? I did and it was reasonable and ended up being an accurate number.

If I ever need more work on our Onan I’ll definitely be bringing it back. Don’t forget, 9.8 times out of 10 people only type out negative reviews, not positive ones — you have nothing to worry about going to Advanced Generators, unless you think the world revolves around you alone and think they need to work with your income level for pricing.

They have worked on our generator a few times and are knowledgeable. That being said… Unrealistic pricing for work being performed. 2 hours time for an oil change and to check a sensor which did not need replacing. Received a bill over $550 for an oil change. This same service cost us $215 last year with a competitor. The bill also included a non predisclosed credit card fee after already paying a service fee of $165 on top of the hourly mechanic fee, one of the highest service fees I’ve seen. When discussing the need for transparency and fair pricing with the office staff they accepted payment but encouraged us to use another generator servicer for future needs. This is not customer friendly service. While I’m understanding that with inflation prices have increased and there are costs of doing business, an oil change should not cost $550 and inflation does not equal a 35% increase in fees. In this case we overpaid for the costs of doing business associated with the services we received inclusive of any credit cards fees, etc. I fully feel taken advantage of in this situation.

They don’t listen to their potential customers. I explained in great detail that I needed to bring my generator to them from 30 miles away for service. Explained that I couldn’t leave it with them and I’d have to wait for the diagnosis. They said fine, bring it in in the morning. We arrived and they said, sorry can’t look at it until next week. Wasn’t even will to attempt to make it right. Basically, they said f#%^* off and leave. I have 60 other generators to work on. Then hung up on me. Very unprofessional!
