Ace Hardware

Unfortunately I came over very early last Saturday. I stood in line waiting to be served. Three young staff were each sitting at their stations in an empty store except for me. The rest of the staff were apparently outside unloading a truck. I stood for almost 5 minutes and I rang a bell for service. One of the workers was within a foot away. I kid you not. He proceeded to tell me he couldn't find my order. Finally, he found it. A week later my handyman went to open up the DMT paint. It was green, not black, as I had ordered, and unmixed. Unfortunately, my handyman is going over to get it mixed properly but he will be giving some choice words to the staff. I wish he would be nicer about it but I don't think so. Who is the manager here? Please attend to these workers! A little training and customer service will go a long way.

If you want a taste of how customer service used to be in "the good 'ole days," just go to Hessler's Ace Hardware. Before you roll your eyes and say, "OK, Boomer," give it a try. You walk in and are greeted by the cashier. If you have a question, she'll send you to the "expert" desk in the center of the store. The expert will answer your question, provide suggestions, show you where the item(s) you are looking for are. They know their business, they know their products, and most of all, they WANT to help you. No more chasing folks in orange aprons around a football field-sized store.

Recently I had my 30-year-old chef knives sharpened by their ReSharp Knife Sharpening Robot...Amazing! They also sell Benjamin Moore paint and will mix small samples as well as gallons while you wait. Oh, and I got a replacement key fob for my car and the expert came out to the parking lot to make sure it was working. True, I'm a Boomer, but these bespeckled eyes have come to spot excellence when they see it and Hessler's is EXCELLENT!

I've been a Hessler for more than 40 years and going to Hessler Paint and Hardware for almost 20. This is a great store that covers you in a way the big boxes can't. Highly recommend anyone check it.

Great service and they are out to accommodate you. Much friendlier and much more helpful than the big box stores. From now on I am bypassing the big box and going directly to Ace.

This is an incredible hardware store! Everyone on the team that we encountered was so helpful and kind. We had a very heavy sculpture that needed to be reattached to the base. We brought it in and without a second thought, they got what needed and reattached it for us, PERFECTLY. They even offered to bring it to our car. They took care of this very special piece of art for us and only charged us for the screws that they used. We were so grateful and very pleasantly surprised. Anytime we need any type of item or service from a hardware store, we will happily drive over to Hessler's. They are wonderful. Thank you!
