Loved this place. A huge variety of lawn and landscaping materials to find. I found my passion ivy that attracts different types of butterflies for my garden. This is my new favorite store to shop. I love my back yard and keeping it my peaceful sanctuary. I finally found the shop to fulfill my needs.

Customer Reviews
See all on Google ↗This is not a review of Driftwood Garden Center as it relates to their plant inventory. As a garden center, I would rate them a 5 — they carry wonderful plant varieties and have a beautiful selection.
This review concerns customer service.
In general, I have found some employees to be somewhat dismissive when I ask questions about plant material. I am a novice gardener, and while my questions may be basic, they are genuine. The overall tone I’ve experienced has at times felt impatient or put off.
More concerning was an interaction last week with a young male cashier (early 20s, mustache). After checking out, I reviewed my receipt in my car and had a question. I went back inside, and the same cashier came to review the order with me. As he went through the receipt and items, he pointed at the receipt and said, “Can’t you read?” implying that I was incapable of understanding it.
To be clear, he was correct — the receipt did match the purchased inventory. The issue was not accuracy; it was his condescending tone and delivery. I felt belittled and disrespected.
I did respond emotionally and raised my voice, calling him a jerk. That was not the best response, and I returned to the store to acknowledge that I regretted yelling. However, I also expressed that I felt I deserved an apology for how I was spoken to. He smirked and refused to apologize.
My concern is that the tone and manner in which I was treated felt dismissive and age-related. Elder disrespect is real, and when interactions feel overtly condescending toward older customers, it’s important to speak up.
I hope management takes this feedback seriously. Customer service should reflect the same quality as the products you sell.
Gorgeous store
Expensive!!!!
But everything you could want and stuff you didn't know that you needed.
The plant was nice, but the staff were super rude. I doubt that I’ll go back- I’ll just go to Home Depot next time.
Last Saturday, I called The Garden Place to inquire about purchasing succulents in bulk. I spoke with a woman who confirmed they offered various types of succulents and sold them in bulk. She mentioned it was their reopening weekend and they were running a special promotion: 20% off, with an additional discount if you spent $50 or more. I asked if the offer was valid only on Saturday, and she said it also applied to Sunday. When I asked what time they opened on Sunday, she said 10 AM.
I arrived around 10:15 AM on Sunday, and a young woman assisted me in finding the succulent plants I wanted. I also picked up some bags of soil and fertilizer before heading to the checkout. My total came to over $260, so I asked for the 20% discount, reminding her it was the reopening weekend. She told me the discount was only valid on Saturday. I explained that I had spoken to a woman on Saturday who said the deal was for the entire weekend and that the store was open on Sunday, which was why I came. Had I known the discount was not available, I would have come on Saturday instead.
I drove over 55 minutes to get there and asked if I could speak to a manager. She said she was one of the managers. I told her this was unfair—that I had driven 55 miles specifically to make these purchases—and asked if she was okay with me leaving without buying. She said yes, so I left. The woman at the register showed no customer service skills, allowing a customer to walk away after spending that much. I can only imagine how many others might have done the same. For a reopening event, having her at the register could end up driving customers away.
